I would support him for Mayor of Detroit. He’s already a hero there and would be powerless on the guns issue because of state supremacy. Plus at the rate locals are taking out the thugs in the city it might cause him to change his mind.

I love Dana - she is a St. Louis gal and one hell of a conservative. But as usual, the right throws the baby out with the bath water over one point. A big one yes, but still, just one point. Perhaps that is why we don’t win elections that matter.

I, too, love most of what I've heard Dr. Carson say but unlike you, I don't want him any where elected office where his statement or vote could be to remove or restrict the Second Amendment, or the First Amendment, the Fourth, Fifth, etc.

He has a truly great story, a wonderful role model not only for any black person or white coming from an underprivileged position!

That being said, I'm not sure that I'd be thrilled for him to be a cabinet secretary either but he'd make an awesome Surgeon General!
