We cut our waste tremendously by dropping the fresh veggies (unless it’s in season and something that we really want). Now we go with frozen. I’m not chopping and peeling away 1/3rd or not getting around to cooking it and tossing 100% in the garbage. We eat fresh salads a couple of times a week and some fruit and berries.
Much less money down the drain.
We live in the woods. When we have produce that goes bad, I feed my future meat and fowl. ;)
