Sounds like a worthwhile book.
It is, for the most part, a good book, and a good summary of the culture wars. Bear in mind that Mercer is a South African liberal, and she still holds some curious positions, even if she describes herself as libertarian. I enjoyed the book, but I cannot stand reading most of her columns.
