You are correct. Look at what happened when the citizens couldn't fight back against the police stste because they were unarmed: Nazi Germany, the Soviet Union under Station and China under Mao. And the death toll from mass shootings, labor camps, forced exile and deliberate famine is somewhere between 110 and 160 million dead....
