Walmart recently unveiled their new concept big rig, called the WAVE.
Short for Walmart Advanced Vehicle Experience, its unlike anything weve ever seen on the road.
Not only does it have a radical new appearance, but many of the internal features are also unprecedented.
The steering wheel is positioned directly in the center of the cab, with a completely digital dashboard displayed on monitors on either side of the wheel.
On the outside, the trailer is made of carbon fiber and sheds 4,000 pounds off the weight of traditional semi trucks, allowing it to haul more goods.
The aerodynamic design and hybrid engine were created for maximum efficiency.
With 7,000 trucks and one of the largest fleets in the country, if these new efficient trucks are a success it can lead to many other businesses picking up similar vehicles.
What do you think of this new truck? Like it? Love it? Hate it?. Let us know.
Either way, its going to take some time to get used to.
I’m sure they’d all do just that.
That would be 2 million more dependent voters.
“i dont shop at walmart”
Most Democrats don’t.
they already are dependent voters but they would be completely free of the dependency on themselves to be free
A Walmart employee is free to work at the stores that the liberal Walmart haters shop at, right now, nothing is stopping them, unless it is the pro-abortion, anti-
God, Obama loving, Hillary in 2016, left wing unions.
Why don’t you let the thread talk about the truck for awhile?
I guess Im gonna have to wait to buy a used one!
stop yelling at me and talk about the truck for a while
there is a striking similarity...
but you do
The cab looks like a storm trooper’s helmet from Star Wars.
That’s the first time I’ve heard of Capstone for years. Didn’t know they were still around.
Give it a rest, you have all the lefty stores to choose from, just do it.
“but you do”
You have no idea where I shop.
They’re getting close to showing a profit.
stop yelling at me and talk about the truck
i think with the center steering wheel it is perfect for middle of the road action
no more left or right crap if you dont like the way i am driving call...
yeah but i dont like the way you think
The video on the page describes the truck's powertrain as comprising a microturbine, battery, and electric motor. It sounds to me like the truck is either a diesel-electric, or a hybrid.
Automatic transmissions have been available in semis for years.
Isn’t this thread about the truck?
