University of the People has two strikes against it. First, national accreditation is not the same as regional accreditation: credits will not be transferable, and the degrees will not be recognized by regionally accredited institutions. Second and more importantly, it’s associated with Israel, which in the academic world is second only to being pro-life as a deal killer.

For the industrious student, it would be a good way to become knowledgeable about subject matter before you head into a more conventional course of study.

These are issues that anyone planning to attend this educational institution should consider. It is only the Liberal Left that would be concerned that it is based in Israel, If you will notice at the article site

the accompanying video indicates that professors involved with the students are from universities that will be associated with it include Yale and others of the caliber.
