The opening ceremony proved that, and he threw in a false resurgence of whatever he calls USSR now to the world stage.
I guess what I’m wondering is, who has our back (nobody ever) with all the purging of our military.
Putin’s current name for his new version of the USSR is the Eurasian Union. Ironic in the face of the copycat European Union, and certainly in line with his viewpoint that the fall of the USSR was the twentieth century’s “greatest geopolitical catastrophe” (which means WWII was nothing to him).
I can’t shake the feeling that Obama is doing much of this at his bidding, or at least his approval. The whole “transmit to Vladimir” episode made it look as if Obama is Putin’s vassal.

You have touched on the most serious core of the matter, should it be true that the President or anyone in higher office is inebriated or drugged. Drugs, including pain medications, work on the frontal lobes of the brain which houses the ability to make rational judgments. I personally know someone who was addicted to pain killers and her judgment or even her ability to care about anything was totally missing. She spent money she didn’t have, she ignored the needs of her family, she was totally narcissistic and without rational judgment. Today, after successful rehab, she is a totally different person. Dr. Drew says that 20% of our adult population is addicted to just prescription drugs and many on the front lines of all that think all kinds of mind altering addictions are the greatest threat we face in America. I don’t know about how Freepers view this, but I know when I see media and political talking heads on TV making atrocious statements with smiles on their faces, I wonder...................?????
To be fair, couldn't those images of Obama with half-closed eyelids simply be snapshots of those fractions of a second when he was merely blinking?
