BTW - what is it was these people who name their child II rather than junior. Somehow they think II sounds fancier than junior? Don’t they own an etiquette book?

If the father and child have the same name then the child is junior. The designation II is used if another adult male in the house, e.g., grandfather or uncle has the same name then the II is used to distinguish between the two men.
