Not at all, I just like making up my own mind about what to believe and what not to believe. I'm funny about having something shoved down my throat. I only have one Lord and don't appreciate anyone coming between him and I. If that's a whiff of hypocrisy to you, check your pants...
Seems you can easily tell someone who's being deceived because instead of discussing the message, it quickly devolves into attacking the messenger.
Rood's teachings can easily be shown to be suspect just on the basis of his failed prophecies alone.
God is pretty clear on false prophets in Scripture.
Not to mention that I do think God would take exception to someone impersonating one of His priests by dressing like them when they have not been authorized by God Himself.
Aaron's two sons were struck down for offering unauthorized fire before God. He takes His priesthood pretty seriously.
What people don't seem to realize is that there's more than one way of taking God's name in vain. It doesn't necessarily mean using it as a swear word.
