as spelled out by the Declaration of Independence... we have a Right to pursue happiness, but there is no Right to be governed.
the govt derives it’s powers from the consent of the governed.
if we no longer consent... they have no powers

Of course you can rescind your consent to be governed — that whether or not your consent (a) validates, and/or (b) is meaningful to those in authority is quite beside the point. — To say otherwise is to assert that one does not have the right to his own thoughts, opinions, and will.
