Florida does not tax groceries (and that is a big one) nor do they tax medicine. Also no state income tax.

My Father had a homestead exemption on a house and 35 acres and paid less than a hundred dollars a year for real estate tax.

I have a free lifetime hunting and fishing license since I am over 65.

The ones which Florida does tax highly are restaurants, and things which tourists usually pay.

Another good thing about FL is it is a swing state - it is good to move to a swing state and swing it the right way!
