I re-enlisted after 9/11. I had an 18 year gap in service. It required waivers for my hearing for me to re-enlist.

I lost a marriage over that, and much, much more. Some folks here on FR helped me navigate the paperwork required to get the waivers. Jim changed my screen name from KD5CTS.

In that 18 year gap in service, I was mainly a contractor for defense agencies doing electronic warfare.

I am not naive.
