HONORABLE military service should be a prerequisite for President and, therefore, anyone in the presidential line of succession. Voters should give more weight to candidates with military service backgrounds. Only wishful thinking on my part, though. Many of America’s previous and current “leaders” would have been kept away from positions of power if the aforementioned requirement was in place. Sure...we'd have saved ourselves from the Presidencies of:
Jefferson
Adams (both)
Lincoln
Just to name a few
