I don’t think Rosemary’s Baby or Repulsion had anything to do with the Manson Killings. Both are classic horror films. And I wouldn’t compare Deneuve’s talent to the somewhat incompetent acting of Sharon Tate. Perhaps it was Valley of the Dolls that brought about the most horrible crime of the 1960s! Horror stories have always been with us and always will be.

It breaks my heart that Sharon Tate was obviously calling for her mother during her final moments.

Personally, I prefer the great work of those “horror” masters Val Lewton and Jacque Tournier.

Also my favorites.

If anyone is interested, back in 1967 there was an attempt to get MEN to wear makeup. In a scene from Rosemary’s Baby one of the male guests comes in to their party in such makeup.
