HJ, I hear your point but I cannot see how the numbers here will add up. Given that a good percentage of these folks will be low income; their net contribution to the government is likely to be negative - that is, they will qualify for all kinds of redistributive tax credits and breaks (EITC); Obamacare subsidies, Medicaid, food stamps, etc. I simply do not see how this math works. Furthermore, simply delaying the collapse of the ponzi scheme is not a solution.

You are thinking too short of term, look how many kids on average the folks they want to give amnesty to have vs the typical average american... This isn’t a short term play, its a long term one. As to delay, Kicking the Can is all politicians ever do, if this move buys them another 2-3 generations before it collapses that’s good enough for now.
