The country is under attack by a record breaking cold wave with subzero temperatures we haven't heard about since, well...the first half of the twentieth century, which must seem strange to all you well coddled millennials out there, but yes....it use to get really...really cold when I was growing up in the 1950s.
And wait until you hear what it was like when my father was growing up in the 1920s and the local salt water river that flows into the city from the Atlantic froze solid. But I know its hard to conceive of something like that when all you ever learned from science class was the importance of "recycling our trash" because of the evil oil companies and those stupid conservatives.

Redirecting traffic away from FR to your own blog for more of your own blog hits is often the goal of some of these amateur writers. It’s rude at minimum and a raid on established sites to attract their hard earned site members away.
It’s a learning curve, but FReepers like old poop humblegunner are the best at sorting the sheep from the goats. I had my “shut up and learn” moments too. It gets kind of fun to watch them work, but at being true blue, old-poop-iron-pants, humblegunner is the cap on the oak tree.

Basically, just a big dip in the jet stream over the US. The more narrow the dip, the more wild the weather. There were times this past summer where the jet stream went above the Great Lakes. In this event, it dipped well down into the south.

More than once when I wanted something fixed in a thread I posted, they fixed it but at the same time moved it out of the sidebar I had put them in.
So I just left my mistakes after that.
