Initial reports (before the White House got involved) were no internet connection and no telephone. They would really like on Moveon.org.

When has that ever changed? When did you find the phone lines and internet to his compound?

Here is what is written in the book, "No Easy Day".
No Easy Day: The Firsthand Account of the Mission that Killed Osama bin Laden is a military memoir by "Mark Owen", the pseudonym of a former member of the United States Naval Special Warfare Development.

Maybe if you read it again, it might sink in, but I doubt it. I didn’t know we have Barry fans on FR. I have been proven wrong.

After the White House read the truth about what was found in the “compound”, the lies started.............

“This home, U.S. intelligence analysts concluded, was “custom built to hide someone of significance.”

“The plot of land was roughly eight times larger than the other homes in the area. It was built in 2005 on the outskirts of town, but now some other homes are nearby.

“Physical security is extraordinary: 12 to 18 foot walls, walled areas, restricted access by two security gates.” The residents burn their trash, unlike their neighbors. There are no windows facing the road. One part of the compound has its own seven-foot privacy wall.

And unusual for a compound valued at more than $1 million: It had no telephone or Internet service”

On a plot of land much larger than those of nearby houses, it was surrounded by 5.5-metre (18 ft)[5][31] concrete walls topped with barbed wire.[32] Apart from its size, it does not stand out from others in the neighborhood[33] and it was not easily seen except from close by.[34] The compound walls are higher than usual in the neighborhood, although nearly all houses in Bilal Town have barbed wire.[34] There were no phones or internet wires running into the compound.
