That quote is spot-on accurate. I’ve heard MSNBC’s Mellisa Harris-Perry specifically state that the Leftist dream is to convert the US into a society that looks like South Africa. They specifically reject “White” rule in the US.
You quoted the 2043 date as the date when the US becomes minority-majority. I would suggest that in terms of the Political scene, the US is already there. I suggest that because so many “whites” didn’t vote in 2012 and that points to the fact that the Republican party has been effectively split into two parties. Conservatives didn’t show up to vote for Romney in 2012 and they won’t show up to vote for Christie in 2016.
Thus, on a national level, politically speaking, the US may well find itself in the same condition as its major metropolitan areas, Democrat controlled as one party jurisdictions with very low turnout in the elections which make election corruption a near certainty.
Now, having said that, an analyst I listened to last week predicted that after 2014/2016 we’ll see a gradual retreat from the “Big Central Government” model to a far more balkanized political structure that focuses on “Local” control and which features States like California and others splitting up into 4 or 5 new states. That would certainly frustrate the efforts of the Liberal elite and may well not happen when Hilary is anointed president in 2016.
Another potential movement is threatening the Leftist dream of Central planning with drastic confiscation of wealth from whites for redistribution and that’s the other result of the South Africanization of the US. White flight out of the US. Actually, we’re already starting to see that happen. And as white “wealth” goes Global, it may well make politics near pointless in the US as the Central Government becomes less relevant.
That "quote" comes from the Census Bureau press release. I don't agree that so many whites didn't vote in 2012. The data suggest otherwise. According to the exit polls, Romney received 59% of the white vote (compared to McCain's 55%) to Obama's 39%. The non-Hispanic white vote comprised 72% of the total vote. Romney received one million more votes than McCain did in 2008. Obama received 3.5 million less votes in 2012 than he did in 2008, but he still won by 5 million votes over Romney compared to 10 million over McCain.
If non-Hispanic whites are 63% of the population and all whites (including Hispanic whites) are 78% of the population, I don't think that the non-Hispanic white percentage of 72% of the total vote in 2012 was under-performing. I think the turnout issue is a myth, just like the one that conservatives stayed home. The basis fact is that we just don't have the numbers any more. We have reached a tipping point.

A pipe dream at this point. CA is not going to be splitting up given the demographics and who holds poltical power in the state.
