I would bet that the 0.1% ultra rich that I refer to, are highly influential uber authoritarian Socialist types that accumulate wealth by close cooperation of government and "business" enterprises. I think you're right; I think the current economic situation is merely symptomatic of the law not applying to everyone equally.
