So, add seventy pounds of gear, ammo, and weapons... When it comes time to clear that obstacle or die I guess they will be dying. So will all the guys who were counting on the fire support. Great.

That is another combat factor. My young female relative I described is able to handle a back pack up to about 20-25 pounds and still be able to walk/hike a mile in 12 minutes or under.
Her small and younger brother can easily handle a 40-45 pound back pack and walk a mile in 12 minutes.
He can out run her with a back pack on.
Without a backpack, she can barely beat him.
The Marines I know don’t go over the wall, they blow it up.
