Sorry but that doesn’t work on wiki. Never has.
If you’ve got the citation, it will work.
And ... heck ... if you don’t know how to do it, just give me the citation, and I’ll get it on there for you ... :-) ...
FR has been set up several times. There was a lefty news guy that showed up on here and argued with an Admin Mod over the Malia thing. He insisted that the thread had been "restored". It had not. It was reposted in an effort to smear FR. I saw the jerk argue with the Mod and call them a liar.
A FReeper spent 3 weeks trying to correct that part of the page. Eventually that poster was banned from editing wikipedia.
It. Does. Not. Work.
As our beloved President (Look Ma Im not a racist) says "Period"
Then give me the citation ... and ... I’ll show you ... :-) ... and I’ll be more than happy to do so.
The “citation” is the key, so I can’t proceed until you give that to me.
On top of that, when I tried to go to the TBL link, I got a 404...
Look it up. I didn’t save it.
TBL has had some “issues”. ;-)
Yeah, I thought that was a major omission. Maybe I’ll add it tonight. I’ve only done a couple of wikipedia entries before.
LOL!!
You said — “Look it up. I didnt save it.”
I’ll do my part and get it on Wikipedia. You do your part, since you claim it can’t be done - and give me the citation.
If you don’t want to “back it up” - that’s fine, as I’ll assume the citation does not exist.
If someone else has it, that’s fine, too - post it here and I’ll just wait to get it.
Look, I didn’t save it. The Boss said he was voting but not for President. He said because of where he lived it made no difference. Why in the blue blazes would I save it?!
Btw, TBL was and is an anti-FReeper site. The fact that wiki would use it as a source (and not FR) should tell you something.
You said — “Look, I didnt save it. The Boss said he was voting but not for President. He said because of where he lived it made no difference. Why in the blue blazes would I save it?!”
I’m not saying you should have saved it or that you did save it. But, without the citation as proof, I can’t go to Wikipedia with a change, just on your “say-so”. So, no citation basically means - “no change on Wikipedia”.
NOW ... if I were to guess as to why that change has not been made on Wikipedia — it’s because no one can come up with the citation — and THAT would explain a lot, right there,
HOWEVER ... you apparently saw it and I did not see it, so only you have an idea where it’s at. I sure don’t.
If one is able to contradict something in error by using a direct statement straight from “the horse’s mouth” - that’s all it would take to discredit them on that statement.
I’m just waiting for the citation so I can correct it ... :) ...
I'm not searching for it since wiki will NOT let it stay. It's a waste of time.
I don’t think it’s a waste of time to correct an error like that on Wikipedia. If one allows an error to stay then don’t complain about the error in the first place. I don’t take that position.
My position is that one acts to correct it - which is why I said I would do it, if you didn’t think it could be done.
HOWEVER ... as I made clear from the beginning - it takes a citation to that fact, to correct it.
Exactly. It is good to look for party affiliation, dates of offices held and such, but that is it.
