We built our own range on land I have in the middle of nowhere.
We were out there 3 weeks ago, long range pistol shooting, no scopes on pistols allowed, just eyeballs and open sights.
A bunch of 50 and 60+ year old geezers trying to hit targets at 100 and 200 yards, Lol!
A bragging rites thing.
We used to get together once a month, but with the ammo situation, not as much anymore.

Woohoo, sounds like fun!

We take our long guns, both hunting rifles and the semi-auto rifles we have, our shotguns, and our pistols.

Usually shoot into rock formations between 100 and 500 yards away with the rifles. Picking spots and then simply watching the dust fly to range in and adjust.

We use our single arm clay pigeon throwers (hehehe as in human arm) for the shotguns.

We set up targets at 50 and 100 ft. for the handguns.

Completely understand about the ammo. We used to cook of 1,200-1,500 rounds at those shoots. Lately, we do maybe a fourth of that.
