Anyone who knows your posting history Colo, knows what you were about with your post...and I spoke directly to it with my reply.
You simply do not like it.
As I said, I pray the good Lord heals your heart, and pray that you and yours have a Merry Christmas.
Great summary, Jeff.
Hope you are doing well.
Yea were doing OK all things considered. It’s been a testing year. But The Lord’s been with us.
Always good to hear from you. May God bless and keep you.
Hehehe...here in Idaho we get up in the hills every few months and have a very good shoot.
Usually sons, sons-in-law, grandsons, relatives and friends.
If the weather allows, we intend to do the same between Christmas and New Year’s...you guys do the same down there.
We’ll put some lead down range in nice tight groups for you up here...you do the same for us down yonder.
Being raised in Texas (North Central) and having family and relatives in SE Texas, we got down to the big thicket on several occasions. Great country...great people.
Same back at you Larry, my friend. Been a long time.
Hope and trust all is well with you and yours.
These leftists are trying to cross numerous bridges too far...and they are finding them falling apart under their feet.
Stay safe, and God’s speed to you and yours.
So glad to hear that my friend.
I know, from my own experiences with you and your words over they years...and your testimony...that He will always be with you and yours.
Thanks for your witness my friend, and your example.
Same to you Jeff.
Whether you know it or not, you have been an inspiration to me. Long story short, eight years ago I was diagnosed with Leukemia, CLL to be exact. It’s the best one to have they told me, then in the next breath I was told, too bad it happened when you were 52 instead of 72. It is considered an old person’s disease, or so they say.
Did the Chemo thing, remission for three years, more Chemo, the usual. It has never really bothered me because I was brought that Life isn’t fair or equitable, it’s just a gift.
I followed your journey, and wondered if I would be able to deal with what you were forced to do. To this day, I really don’t know the answer to that. I do know that it’s possible though, and there will come a time where my Treatments may not do the trick. I don’t fear it, and in some sense I have learned that from you.
We may never meet in person, but I feel fortunate to know you through your writings and commentary regarding your illness, if that makes any sense. My Mother always said, “there will always be people worse off than you, and there will always be people better off that you, that’s life”. We all have our burdens to bear, and you are an inspiration to many others here, of that I am sure.
You continue to take good care my Friend. My best to you and your loving Family. You are Blessed.
Woohoo, sounds like fun!
We take our long guns, both hunting rifles and the semi-auto rifles we have, our shotguns, and our pistols.
Usually shoot into rock formations between 100 and 500 yards away with the rifles. Picking spots and then simply watching the dust fly to range in and adjust.
We use our single arm clay pigeon throwers (hehehe as in human arm) for the shotguns.
We set up targets at 50 and 100 ft. for the handguns.
Completely understand about the ammo. We used to cook of 1,200-1,500 rounds at those shoots. Lately, we do maybe a fourth of that.
And a very merry Christmas to you and yours as well. It’s especially good to see you doing well.
You are welcome any time that you’re in the area, my friend. A lot has happened in the last few years that I won’t discuss here - some good, some not so much. I’ll catch you up then.
Thank you, brother, for those words.
They are SO true.
Through my rehab Is aw so many people fighting, and full of faith, who were a LOT worse off than me. They were my heroes and I made sure I told them so.
In the three years since, I have had so many occasions to meet and work with others going through this same type of journey. I find in almost EVERY case, that we help each other through our stories, and the experiences we have had dealing with our disabilities and the impact of these diseases.
I have seen HIs hand in it...and it has led to good. To things, experiences, faith, love, and feelings I am not sure I would have been able to be blessed with in any other way. And so I am grateful and full of gratitude for that, despite the hardships and difficulties.
I do understand every bit of what you said...and I know you will understand what I am saying too.
Thanks you again for your kind words, and your witness of faith! Thank you for your fight in your own journey.
We will most definitely meet one day, my friend...either in this life, God willing, or over yonder, across on the other side.
And in the mean time...we stand wherever we can and proclaim Christ Jesus, and the principles of the liberty He has blessed this land with.
Jeff, I can’t add anything to what you said, so I will wish you a Good Night, Merry Christmas and the Happiest of New Years.
God Bless my Friend.
And to you and yours, Jeff, Merry Christmas!
Thanks for weighing in Jeff, and right on as usual!
.
Jeff, thank you for sharing your thoughts. You have been an inspiration to many of us for a long time. You are looking strong and well. It is good to hear from you and looking forward to much more!
