And he crossed a lot of lines because he lives in a culture where people dying are depicted all the time as no big deal.
In the moment when he actually shot someone he was probably astonished at what he just did, and the madness of it overwhelmed him as he slowly realized the reality of it.
Just a stupid kid, insulated from the real world by his parent’s idiotic views and money, acting out the surreal world of games, media and popular culture.
Really pretty sad.

I know every generation says this, but ... these poor damned kids. Man, it would be hell to be a teenager today, where homosexuality, or at least testing the waters, is "cool" and politically correct, and where "virtual reality" is reality, and where all manner of drugs are prescribed for kids in school!!! Puh -- leeeeeeze.
