ASK THE IMAM (these questions and answers are always entertaining)
272 I have been told by my elders that after you have washed you hair you should not flick it with your hands to get rid of your tangles because in the afterlife you will wake up as a Witch. Is there any truth in this?
This has no basis in Islam.
ASK THE IMAM
418 Q: I sometimes feel that droplets of urine have passed, but on inspection of my underwear no traces of wetness are found. On this assumption do I have to redo my wuzu and more importantly do I have to change my underwear if I read Namaz?
A: If there is no discharge then no action is required.
However if urine has discharged and its wetness can be felt/ seen or mark of it is visible on the clothing, then redo wuzu (including istinja) and change the affected clothing (underwear). If this however is a permanent problem then one has to perform wuzu prior to each prayer and then complete the prayer even if droplets of urine are discharged after the wuzu and during prayer, then perform fresh wuzu for next prayer.
(NOTE: Hmmm, I missed that one. I would have simply answered, “Yes, redo your wuzu.”)
