Which, btw, led full circle to the article in Esquire blog that led us to wonder “Who is this LTC Robert Bateman?”:

Conclusions:
1) middle names or at least initials are very helpful.
2) This article references the wrong Bateman, as shown in the use of the photo of the older NYG Bateman rather than the one from Esquire, so this would seem to be incorrerct info re: DHS tie-in w/younger author LTC Bateman — unless he has some other relationship w/DHS.
