We keep hearing about what I like to call the Holy Grail theory of demographic change. This is the argument that the future is inevitably Democratic because Republicans arent just losing young people they are structurally unable to win them, and will become more so over time.
But what if this Holy Grail never appears? I dont have any solid, irrefutable evidence that its happening, but Harvards Institute of Politics has just come out with a new survey of Millennials whom they define as those aged 18 to 29 today and its findings dont provide a lot of support for the Holy Grail theory.

Young people might want to take a look now and then at the rising bill that they’ve been left to pay for the rest of us. They are the stuckees. The ones left holding the bag.
Ok, I am starting to get tired of this “sea change” stuff, and all that. If anyone believes this crap now, they will have to suspend belief at the next Election.
Millenials are, functionally, small L libertarians. Tolerant and accepting on social issues, but distrustful of big government and statist policy solutions.
Conservatives need to figure out a way to coopt them. Initially forming coalitions on mutually beneficial issues and policies then migrating them into the Conservative fold.
Obamacare is a once in a generation opportunity to make that happen ...
One of the problems with the R party and their consultants is they commit a fallacy when polling. They use demographics to measure people, due to convenience and some correlations between categories and political behavior. However, the real measurement issue is not demographic—it may be economic or something else. However, the R party can’t see past the demographics they measure.
By the time the election gets here, Democrats will be able to say, sure our plan was ill conceived and poorly executed and cost too much, but the GOP hates the poor.
Both sides will talk about jobs, neither will have a plan.

‘bout time, if it is for real. It took double digit interest rates and unemployment rates from Jimmy Carter to educate a sufficient number of my generation.
The whole “stay on your parents” insurance plan until 26 years old must be going over like a lead balloon in U.S. households. Time to make it mandatory. King O, wave your wand to make it so!
The Current Occupant, in fact the whole Current Regime, does not fail to disappoint.
And the millennials do not handle disappointment well.
LOL. That’s the gif that keeps on giving.
Boomamba's spent his entire time in office using official govt activities and resources in hopes of building a permanent Dimocrat majority.
Too bad he stupidly threw a bomb into his plans........ w/ Obamacare.
LAUGH BREAK Team O musta been laughing up their sleeves as they connived to insert the infamous "cancellation clause" into O/Care---while planning to regurgitate the old Dem standby---blaming someone else---Repubs (and the insurance companies they unreservedly despise).
Now the stupids must be downing valium and vodka non-stop as we type---the lunkheads failed to factor in that Dems would take the fall at the polls---by the very people they intended to "punish" w/ cancellations ---- we, the voters.
Just call him "Wrong-Way Boobamba." Remember---he "vowed" to destroy the Republican Party----but he ended up destroying the Democrat Party, instead. Looks like he needs a new GPS system from Santa.
ROTFLOL.

Egged on by pie-eyed Pelosi. Dimocrats rammed the monstrous Healthcare bill through on a straight party-line vote and refused to consider a single legislative change---including Mike Enzi's bill to allow Americans to keep their exisitng plans. Now desperate Democrats are frantically introducing fix Obamacare bills.
Dims want to separate themselves from their aye votes that they sold to push Obamacare onto unsuspecting Americans------ but they can't.
Republican strategists says ObamaCare has the potential to be even more potent in 2014 than it was in 2010" (when Repubs took over the House) and that Democrats in competitive seats could see themselves washed out to sea.
Predictions are that the misguided law could get even worse for Dimocrats. Its like quicksand. It's sucking people in. And this is just one component. Just wait until the next piece of this law is rolled out, strategists said.

Now, a really, really big problem for Obama is that people still remember CHEAPER PREMIUMS BEFORE Obamacare. Then they're told Obamacare higher premiums are the real ones BUT NOT TO WORRY---they're getting subsidies as a "gift" from Obama.....
....but here's the kicker.....in politics, it's OK for a pol to be clever and come up with clever ideas. But pols can't "appear" to be clever. B/c the citizenry equates POLITICAL cleverness with deviousness. (George Will on Fox)
Gomer Pyle:”Surprise, surprise, surprise!”

Maybe the 26 year olds’ parents insurance got canceled too — or the parents demanded they live with them and help pay. ha ha
Scu&bags.
IMHO
Won’t make a difference . . .With dead people, prisoners, felons, double- triple- and quadruple-voting, ballots stashed in trunks of cars and trucks, improper counting, and voter intimidation, there’s no reason for them to pander to anyone.
And the absolutely stupid-dumb-ass Party will let them get away with it. So . . . Why vote at all? They’re probably printing ballots right now!
Well, maybe in a roundabout way, the “O” care BS will give them the education about life and politics that the U.S. school system didn’t/wouldn/t!! :)
With all due respect to whom it may concern, we need to get rid of both Republicans and Democrats. All that political parties do is foster liberal and conservative perversions of the Constitution, particularly since parents are not making sure that their children are being taught about the federal government’s constitutionally limited powers.
Patriots need to find a new national soap opera to replace “DC Follies” to keep citizens from getting board.
