An aggressive timeline for passing comprehensive immigration reform may become a reality based on two significant developments on Capitol Hill.
One of them is that House Speaker John Boehner has hired an Immigration Policy Director who has deep experience in overhaul efforts. The other is that in recent weeks, various Texas business interests have told Quorum Report that Boehner has been telling them that he will start holding immigration votes not long after the filing deadline has passed. This, of course, runs counter to conventional wisdom that says immigration votes in the House will have to wait until 2014.

The time may come when the criminal politicians in DC pay the price. If so, it looks like it will not be just Democrats on that long, long list. I guess both parties just can’t wait for Revolution 2 to start.
Immigration does need reforming, but the Republicans would do well to wait until we have the legislative majority and the executive position. Nothing good for this nation is going to pass in the current political climate.
You should know that lutefisk is precious to me. And lutefisk season is neigh. I can’t wait.
OMG, I’m drooling on my keyboardddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddd
Boner needs his azz kicked HARD!
What sort of lunatics make this issue their priority at this particular time?
I couldn’t agree more, and they would deserve to.
Yep.
And it’s going to continue until we put a stop to it.
This all reminds me of the lame duck Congress in 2010 after the Tea Party roared. The Republicans jumped in and saved Obama by supporting his agenda. Now, with Obama again on the ropes and going down fast, Boehner rides to his rescue. Conservatives remain impotent without a leader. All we have are commentators.
So questioning an unknown source makes me a troll.
How about your inability to explain Quorum Report with factual and reasoned information, minus a stupid insult, makes you a 50 IQ idiot.
Ping.
This is what makes me so mad. This is a horrible idea for the entire nation. Unemployment is high, deficits are high and yet they think this will somehow help?
It is stupid even for politicians.
Of course the frauds would like us to think their concern for illegals is due to their great humanitarianism, its those who're critical are the ones with the problem.
There's no corner of hell hot enough...
There will be a lot of GOP House Members primaried if they vote for Illegal Alien Amnesty
Texas should be embarassed with “Business Interests” in that state pushing for Illegal Alien Amnesty.
Illegal Alien Amnesty is Anti American Bigotry. Deport every Illegal Alien, anything else is Amnesty
so true
And I eat it too but you have to admit if one is moping floors a little bit of lutefisk with extra butter and sauce seems appropriate rather that than the good korv and lingonberries
Korv, My grandma was sent to the store to buy a kilogram of Korv. She asked the store keeper for a kilometer of korv.
And a hundred years later we are still laughing about it. You make one little mistake.....
Granmas you got to love (because no body else does).
But it is good eating .I particularly like limp bread, lingonberries, and korv sandwiches . better stop I am drooling
Good news for ABBOTT here
The purpose of OH’s Boehner is to make IL’ Bob Michel look pretty good.
