Reading "GULAG: A HISTORY"

Posted on 12/01/2013 8:12:00 PM PST by DIRTYSECRET

It's by Anne Applebaum. It said that Lenin saw common criminals(thieves, pickpockets, murderers) as potential allies. He blamed the 'exploitation of the masses' where removal of the exploiters would curb the excesses and crime.

I think that this is why the Left is always standing up for the illegals, the sucker punchers, the felon vote-u name it. They will use them and THEN deal with them their way. They're sick.

Commies love the criminals and hate the law-abiding.

Always been true.

Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn wrote a three-volume set called “The Gulag Archipelago” which I read back in the 1970’s.

The political prisoners got the harsh treatment and the criminals ran the prisons as trustees.

For the life of me I can only find the first two books. The book I bought doesn’t contain the third. There are also plenty of abridged copies selling on Amazon.

The three volumes came out as paperbacks in the 1970’s with the first in Silver, the second and third were Blue and Gold colored. I’d have to go to the attic and dig them out to find them.
