I love all boats. This essay is focused on “escape pod” aspects (sailboats and houseboats) but damn it, I am just a boat nut.
I finished it last summer, though I’m thinking about taking off part of the paint job and doing something different. It’s a 260 Fisherman, a good solid boat, and I think as good or better now than when it was new. I got it because I wanted to restore a boat, one that was large enough to give me a challenge. A sailboat is my goal, but the way things are going, I might not get there.
