I didn’t post the 30 ft, our boat is a 40. And boy does 10 ft on a boat make a huge difference. We started out looking at 35’s and even they were too small for me. We would go down the stairs and I would immediately say nope, and turn and go right back up to the cockpit.

I think I would be the same way. I am not a boat person, so the smaller boats would probably make me feel like I was bobbing along waiting for a fish to bite and plunge me under.
Our requirement was for two people to be able to stand up below decks and walk around without stepping on each others toes. And for it to be a center cockpit.
