Barry was more than happy to leave the work to others and was best known for ceremoniously showing up at cocktail parties and receptions. He did occasionally hold forth at meetings. He cannot write ... never could ... and is not detail-oriented.
He runs the administration in the same manner. He "hangs out" in the den watching basketball, usually with Reggie Love, while Valerie Jarrett runs the shop day-to-day, bringing him memos and setting up the teleprompter.
The guy's talent for "hanging out" is awesome and the whole show is designed to give him credit and praise while deflecting criticism. For example, N.B. the MSM hoopla about "Harvard Law," contrasted with absolute "0" about the disbarrment in Illinois! PR works.
BTW, BHO was not alone at Harvard Law. Quite a few real attorneys who were there with him know the score.
There's got to be a good reason why the Harvard Law graduate group images are missing from the archives between 1987 and 2003:
We have all seen the group image of him centred in the group showing him as president of the Law Review, but there's nothing showing him as a law graduate.
