When CNN is hitting the President hard, you know the tables have turned. Leading off a busy news day, CNN introduced two new stories about the Affordable Care Act by quipping: The White House facing two more embarrassing revelations in the never-ending ObamaCare fiasco.
The first was that the White House and HHS had lied about not being informed about problems with HealthCare.gov well ahead of its launch. The second story was about Jessica Sanford. Sanford, who President Obama touted last month as being the epitome of the Affordable Care Acts success, has lost her insurance because of rate increases due to the Affordable Care Act.
...Sadly, because of the Affordable Care Act, Sanfords rates quickly grew out of control. From the $169 per month that she originally bought it for, to $280 for the same plan, then to $390 for a poorer plan because of a system error.
The government had made an error in telling Mrs. Sanford that she would receive help to pay for insurance. Your household has been determined eligible for a Federal Tax Credit of $0.00 to help cover the cost of your monthly health insurance premium payments, the letter matter-of-factly stated.
Sanford can no longer afford her insurance and has since dropped it.

We’re going to need a bigger....bag of popcorn.

This is a situation that will un-do it all. If she dropped it, she must not really need it, right?
So, now her premium’s out of the pool BUT if something catastrophic happens, the hospital’s ER will be selling her debt that she can’t pay.
Guess the young and healthy haven’t signed up, so all those great ObamaCare rates are going nowhere but up. Perhaps Obama doesn’t know that unemployment in the 18-35 cohort is now over 12%, according to Bloomberg, and they don’t have the money to buy anything right now.
Those young, healthy 26 and under “kids” better hope their parent’s insurance isn’t canceled, because then all of them will be without insurance next year.
What a dismal MESS!
What ever happened to 0’s “laser-like focus on jobs?”
(BTW, 0, lasers don’t focus)
Perhaps Obama doesnt know that unemployment in the 18-35 cohort is now over 12%, according to Bloomberg, and they dont have the money to buy anything right now.
And they have those Student Loans that Obama pushed, to pay on.
Makes Operation Iraqi Freedom look well conceived, well planned, well supported, well executed, and well done.
(Actually Operation Use Iraq to Throw W and the USA under the bus for Politics) was a remarkable success. And obamacare got to use the same team. 1 and 1.
Obamacare makes Gigli look like Ben Affleck’s “signature achievement.”
Congress should tax them for choosing to be unemployed.
The website is supposed to be up and running by Dec 1 and they’ll have to sign up 250k people A DAY to come close to hitting their first goal. The website, I’ve read, can only handle ~50k per day, so this will be strike 3.
An intelligent person that still had faith in the government would conclude that the website is still screwed up, and expect to not get a subsidy. An intelligent person without faith in the system might think this is a trick to get more people to sign up. I have little faith in the system at this point.
A bureaucratic train wreck of the first order. And, even though she's experienced it, she still believes the government should be in charge of our healthcare...
Ha! Good catch! And I'm a bit embarrassed that I never noticed that error before you pointed it out.

Fun,isn’t it?
.
Where are all of the young people who were pledging to be Obama’s servants?
Sanford is from WA State. The WA State exchange web site incorrectly stated the subsidies to every single person who signed up for Obamacare, by at least $100/month. Every single person who signed up on the exchanges must now be signed up again, all 8000 of them.
