Obama is the Nation’s Pinocchio

With every passing day since the ObamaCare rollout, I feel more and more like I'm living in some sort of alternate universe where the laws of nature, physics, and truth no longer apply. First we had to deal with all the spin from the media and the progressive liberals over how great ObamaCare is and how people were signing up in droves to get it. They hoped that layer after layer of lie would somehow cocoon the awful truth that ObamaCare is a total disaster. We've since learned that a grand total of six people signed up in the first day. Six. Let that sink in after years of hype and promoting the national takedown of our medical freedom. However, the craziest thing that's occurred is how Obama is blatantly lying...about his lying. Yes, the President is saying that they never said that "if you like your health plan, you can keep your health plan" but rather they had always meant "if you liked your health plan, and if that health plan had not changed since the Affordable Care Act was passed, then you can keep your plan."

Like some pathetic movie Jedi, Obama is trying to make us forget the years of being told that people could keep their plans, could keep their doctors, and that they had nothing to fear. Now I understand that all politicians lie in one form or another, but this lying is of a far greater scale and importance. Is Obama pathologically incapable of seeing the truth or does he convince himself that everything is our fault and that we just didn't understand his genius? I've never seen an elected official so comfortable with lying to the face of the American people or perhaps so delusional that he just makes up his reality anew every day.

It's sad and pathetic to see the office of the President brought so low. Obama has become President Pinocchio and his nose grows longer every day with every lie. What is even more frustrating is two ongoing situations. The first is that few people in the media will actually go out and call the President a liar. They'll waffle with synonyms such as "deception" or "falsehood" in order to lessen the impact that our President is an out-and-out liar. The second irritating situation is how Obama's defenders are latching on to his latest "these aren't the droids you're looking for" rigmarole and actually saying that all of this is just a "communications problem" and that us poor simple mountain folk just didn't understand our betters. This is utter bull. The President and his progressive liberal cronies lied for years about the Affordable Care Act and they're lying now. The difference is that now people are actually getting hit with the consequences of ObamaCare and you can't spin the facts when people's wallets are getting sucked dry.

I just can't believe the hubris of Obama in that he actually thinks we're going to swallow the crap he's shoveling in his latest speech. He said, "Now, if you have or had one of these plans before the Affordable Care Act came into law and you really liked that plan, what we said was you can keep it if it hasn’t changed since the law passed. So we wrote into the Affordable Care Act, you're grandfathered in on that plan. But if the insurance company changes it, then what we're saying is they've got to change it to a higher standard. They've got to make it better, they've got to improve the quality of the plan they are selling. That's part of the promise that we made too. That's why we went out of our way to make sure that the law allowed for grandfathering."

Compare that to what he said in 2009 in a speech to the American Medical Association, where he proclaimed, "That means that no matter how we reform health care, we will keep this promise to the American people: If you like your doctor, you will be able to keep your doctor, period. If you like your health-care plan, you'll be able to keep your health-care plan, period. No one will take it away, no matter what."

Enough said.

I think that political ads doing nothing more than showing obama repeating his “keep your plan” schtick with the date underneath, while his nose keeps growing with each statement, would be quite effective.

Or have some Republican run a clip of obama lying, alongside his opponent making a speech. Then ask, “Haven’t you had enough of this?” Wish Cuccinelli would have done this against McAuliffe.
