...Sebelius’ testimony was a disaster. She said HealthCare.gov has never crashed. While technically true, this is only because the site has been consistent in its ability to transmit various error messages. This technicality is not the sort of thin reed one should cling to when one’s website has become the butt of every late-night joke routine, the best punchline on Twitter, and the greatest source of irate, frustrated commentary from people visiting one’s Facebook page to complain.

I assume Sebelius plans on quitting her job soon, but it can’t be before the site is fixed — for her own sake and future prospects it can’t be. Still, this didn’t go well, and I don’t just mean the “whatever” part. The fact that most of the Republican questioners were as clueless as Sebelius was doesn’t mitigate the disastrous consequences of her behaving in a dismissive fashion at a hearing held to discuss the universally accepted results of her own incompetence....

It seems to me that these "disasters" don't matter. The GOP-e does take advantage of the situation, the media covers up for them . . . and the errors fade away until the next time.
