This whole episode reminds me how right Ronald Reagan was about elites and central government planning.

To paraphrase, Reagan had said that there is a group of elites in Washington, DC, who think that they can plan and run our lives better than we can run our own lives.

And this Obamacare debacle and the Obama apologists such as Maher are making this point. So it’s ok to blatantly lie about what will happen with this law because it’s for our own good. We are too stupid to know what is good for us. We are too stupid to have an opinion on whether we think socialized medicine/Obamacare is a good idea. Only elites such as Obama and Nancy Pelosi know what is good for us.

This is the attitude of these liberals. They know best, and they will run our lives for us.
