.....[BIG snip].....
.....But what about President Obamas explicit promise that if you like your insurance you can keep it? [Hume] continued. He later amended that to the government is not going to make you change plans. But thats not true either because the government has made many lower cost plans illegal. Emanuel and others argue such plans were a rip-off and people should have better ones. But better in whose opinion? Why the governments of course. And never mind the presidents repeated promise it would never come to this. A promise the very design of Obamacare made impossible to keep. Maybe the president knew this. Maybe he didnt. Maybe he simply didnt care.
Special Report anchor Bret Baier asked Hume if it were a possibility Obama may very well have been out of the loop. Hume said that was possible but it would mean a president praised as a person who pays attention to detail was extremely disengaged.
Its conceivable to me he could be out of the loop on any one of them, Hume replied. But its hard to believe he wouldnt have known about any of them any of these ones they said he didnt know about. You know, weve been given to believe this is a very bright, very curious man who cares about policy details, grasps without difficulty and asks very good questions. The picture that emerges from the array of things he was not in the loop on was a more disengaged president who is leaving it all to others, in which case its imperative you pick good others. Its questionable whether he has.

The Rush Limbaugh Show - Oct 28, 2013
“Obama Doesn’t Know Jack”
“............We’re now looking here at what is the ultimate destruction of what was the best health care system in the world, and what was the greatest economy of the world. And we’ve got people who now say, “I didn’t know,” and you did know. You had a chance to know. You didn’t avail yourself of the opportunity. You’re running around, you’re calling everybody else closed-minded, you’re calling everybody else an extremist bigot, and you revel in ignorance because it is you who are closed-minded. The truth was easy to learn about who Obama is, and about what Obamacare was intended to be. So if you’ll pardon me, I think I’m sensing a pattern here, folks.
I’ve got a montage of all these media people saying Obama didn’t know about NSA spying. Obama didn’t know. He didn’t know about the IRS. He didn’t know about Fast and Furious. He didn’t know that Obamacare’s website was gonna be a bust. He didn’t know anything. And that’s the excuse? I just saw Gloria Borger on CNN, “Obama didn’t know.” As though that’s something to be proud of? That is a legitimate excuse? The president didn’t know that the NSA was spying on foreign leaders, and you want us to give him a pass because he’s that out of touch and detached that he didn’t know, when the fact of the matter is they’re lying to us again. BS, he didn’t know. How stupid do they think we are? ............”
What’s really sad and alarming is many people actually believe this bull, but then again many people don’t have critical thinking skills.
B.O. Don’t know diddly!
Hume is skirting around the facts, offering a weaselly-worded opinion. What good is that?
“Maybe he didnt. Maybe he simply didnt care.”
Ding ding ding! I think we have a winner. I simply do not believe the administration, as clueless as it has been on so many issues, did not know this was coming.
And, I still wonder if - at the risk of sounding like a tinfoil hat type - the ultimate goal is to push through single payer. The argument being private insurers are not up to meeting the needs of the American people, so government needs to ensure “fairness” in coverage. I think that would be a very tough sell right now, but if the Democrats took back the House in 2014, I have very little doubt that Obama would resurrect the public option and try to ram it through with Pelosi and Reid’s help.
I honestly believe that many in this administration see that as ‘the greater good’, and see the turmoil people are experiencing in losing their individual coverage and/or higher rates as a necessary component to getting a single payer system in place.
These are interesting times we live in...
Start earning your paycheck.
Later we learn how the culprits visited the WH hundreds of times but Obama still never knew anything.
Krauthammer and Hume certainly weren’t this vague about Ted Cruz’s Senate speech, his “Paul Revere” moment telling the country that “Obamacare” is coming - defund it!!
Please see my post #11, that's kind of exactly what I'm saying also.
Beltway pundits KNOW this has been the socialist dream.
To feign ignorance of Obama’s motives and analyzing his involvement out of the equation is infuriating and insulting.
The Beltway crowd is afraid of Obama and Co. They’re protecting themselves and their positions of access (professional and personal).
Yes.
If the midterm election were being held tomorrow the dems would have absolutely no chance to win back the house. None. In fact if the GOP can run some decent conservatives who will fight, they may even take the Senate in 2014. Not only making Obama a lame duck but also a dead duck politically. He will have a lot to answer for if he ever loses his hold on the Senate.
We’ll see what happens next year and we’ll see if the GOP can once again run a bunch of RINO losers and blow it again.
M. Catharine Evans, American Spectator - Oct 29, 2013:
“........Over the last five years Americans have heard the president and his various agency heads deny his involvement in any high-level programs.
But Obama’s hands-off approach contradicts what mainstream journalists from the New York Times and the Washington Post have observed about the ruling cabal in D.C. Obama’s media friends complained about the administration’s obsessive need to micromanage and survey everything going on around them, calling the group hypersensitive and “control freaks.” So how can Obama and company claim ignorance while acting like autocratic overlords?
From National Review, October 10:
“This is the most closed, control freak administration I’ve ever covered,” said David E. Sanger, veteran chief Washington correspondent of The New York Times. ...
Washington Post national security reporter Dana Priest ... : “... I’m even afraid to tell officials what I want to talk about because it’s all going into one giant computer.” ...
“Sometimes their levels of sensitivity amaze me-about something on Twitter or a headline on our website,” said Washington Post Managing Editor Kevin Merida.
If the Obama administration fits the definition of control freaks, as Sanger contends, there is a slim-to-none chance Obama didn’t know exactly what was going on at the NSA, the IRS, the ATF, the CIA, and the FBI, to name a few.”

It isn’t an unintended consequence he would have learned after the fact. The law was written precisely to set new minimums for the basic coverage every individual health care plan must provide. So obviously they will be required to cover an array of “essential” services, including medication, maternity and mental health care with a 10,000 deductible that if you can’t pay...you either drop insurance or go broke anyway.
“many people dont have critical thinking skills.”

That is most obvious with half of the American public today.
The fricking idiots elected the Marxist fool, TWICE.
And I add, some on here have the nerve to criticize and spew vile profanities at me for being an expat.
I never left America. America left me.
Valerie Jar Jar tells the guy with ears to go sit in a room and play (cards?) with Reggie. When they need him to read off a tele-prompter, they call on him.
Otherwise, he’s left out.
If your insurance plan doesn’t carry maternity care and substance abuse care (just 2 examples), your policy will be deemed insufficient by Obamacare (government) standards and thereby cancelled, “freeing you up” to enter the government maze and have full coverage whether you want it or not comrade.
