Jay Z be gettin’ caught in a RIP Tide
Blasted Fools.com ^ | October 28,2013 | Richard Cameron

Before you tell me that you don't give a rat's tushie about celebrities / entertainers and what they do and all their carrying's on and what not – let me agree with you. I don't either...but. What's the but? The but is that in as much as entertainers and celebs stick their noses into politics (usually liberal politics and more specifically, Democrat partisan politics), I occasionally write about them.

Still, my interest is even more narrowly focused. It is particularly when one of them runs at the mouth about some sacred cow of utopianism and then shortly after, the world of reality (unexpectedly?) enters the freeway headed the wrong direction and hits them head on with a truckload of their own hypocrisy – yeah, that's when I'm going to be there with a film crew.

And that's what happened with the latest celebrity oil slick – Jay Z's day of reckoning with the very forces of Racial Identity Politics (RIP) that he's previously lent support to. This story is rife with hypocrisy, irony, and elder socialist statesmen guilt tripping young Black entertainment icons for not carney barking for 'social responsibility'.

I think I have all of your objections covered and I'm certain that you will be stimulated by this week's Blasted Fools cover story. If you are not, we'll refund your entire subscription price and the Jay Z issue is yours to keep. Act now, don't delay! This offer is only available in 170 countries and is not limited to anyone deceased at the time of the last election.

I stopped reading right there. I couldn't pick Jay Z out of line up. He is not a part of American culture.

He does have a net worth of a half bil.

His “New York” song that he did with Alicia Keys is very inspiring though.

Alicia Keys is really the only element that makes Jay Z’s stuff distinctive from all the rest of the derivative genre.

thanks for the photo. I didn’t follow that story very closely the first time around. What was their point in visiting Cuba - curiosity? Bucket list? or something else?

Not sure about the reason for Cuba.
Probably to show their “solidarity” with the “progressive” Castro regime.
Limousine/private jet liberals of the worst kind.

He's absolutely a part of the culture. Maybe not yours, but he is. As is anyone else who makes $90 million a year in the entertainment industry. Now he's just dealing with the repercussions.
