On Sunday, ABCs Jonathan Karl went after Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) for his strategy during the government shutdown, complaining: People hated this shutdown, they hated this impasse and this was seen as the Ted Cruz shutdown. You more than any single individual were seen as the one that triggered this crisis to begin with. When Cruz began to answer, Karl interrupted, We're talking about public opinion nationally. When Cruz began to answer again, Karl jumped in again: But there never would have been a shutdown if you hadn't gone with the strategy of saying we're not even going to fund the government for six weeks unless we can defund Obamacare.
But Karl wasnt done. He then asked Cruz, How much do your colleagues just despise you right now on the floor? I mean, I hear some really strong language from your own fellow Republican senators.
After finishing his interview with Cruz, Karl then went to former Florida Governor Jeb Bush to get him to bash Cruz: And this started with Republicans, mostly in the House, saying that they wanted to gut ObamaCare and they were willing to not fund the government until that happened. I mean, they changed their position a little bit as it went along. But I mean, how badly are Republicans hurt by all this? It started with their strategy . I just spoke to Ted Cruz and he was the guy who said, hey, let's not agree to a funding resolution unless ObamaCare is defunded. That was the strategy that really kicked it off and he told me that he will now do anything he can to stop ObamaCare and he does not rule out pushing to the brink once again. What would your message be to Ted Cruz?
ABC then cut to the Pandacam, with Martha Raddatz intoning, check out the PandaCam. With the government back open, the National Zoo's live look at its most popular resident is back online.
The better question is “How much do millions of conservative and libertarian peasants just love you?”
Jeb Bush is just another GOP-E Collaborator!
Alinsky: "Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.
Hillary: "Then chop it, slice it, dice it, nuke it, drown it, shriek at the moon over it, rotate your head 360 degrees and spew pea soup at it, stomp it, hate it, go berserk over it and claim your every action for women and children while you light it on fire."
MSM: "Then turn the whole process into memes repeatable in elementary schoolyard chants so that soccer moms can understand and imitate it."
Several of Winston Churchill’s colleagues despised him too, and for the same reasons. Cruz is Serpico and the establishment is the NYPD.
The Obama media can ask smart a$$ questions and demonize Ted Cruz all they want but as Obamacare kicks in and the economy tanks, someone who is hated by the Washington DC ruling class is going to look good to a lot of voters.
Screw Jeb
Hey, Jonnie...know what Ted has that you’ll NEVER have? An eight-minute standing ovation.
I would have responded “probably less than your fellow Journalists do you”.
They’re going to try to figure out a way to blame Cruz when obamacare fails. They’ve changed their chant “It’s Bush’s fault!” to “It’s Cruz’s fault!”
It’s actually quite sad, those soccer moms haven’t a clue how they are being used, much like the welfare recipients, no clue that they are being bought and paid for.
I’m always amused at moms who haven’t done an ounce of research yet spout the talking points as if they are an authority.
Lets start that conversation by acknowledging we arent going to deport 12 million illegal immigrants... bringing these workers out of the shadows and into being taxpaying members of society. Imagine 12 million people who are already here coming out of the shadows to become new taxpayers.12 million more people assimilating into society. 12 million more people being productive contributors. [but hes not in favor of amnesty, snicker, definition of is is]
...by softening its edge on some volatile social issues and altering its image as the party always seemingly "eager to go to war... We do need to expand the party and grow the party and that does mean that we don't always all agree on every issue" ... the party needs to become more welcoming to individuals who disagree with basic Republican doctrine on emotional social issues such as gay marriage... "We're going to have to be a little hands off on some of these issues ... and get people into the party," Paul said.
Thanks markomalley.
People in FL may like Jebbie, but people in TX seem to really like George P.!
Yep. I've already said I'm not voting anymore. Hell, I live in Illinois, so it's not as though my vote counts anyway as there are no CONSERVATIVES in this state to vote for, so I'll just warn y'all right now:
STAY OUT 'DA BUSHES!!!
IF true, Ted Cruz should wear that proudly like a badge of honor!
To think, one man standing up against the monstrosity that is NOBAMACARE can actually cause it to fail?! ROFL! Were it that easy to be true!!!
1.7 million dollars/minute. This is the rate we are building up our deficit. Ted Cruz is simply pointing out that yet another social program that is not funded will destroy us. Why would we hate this blatantly obvious message? Someone has to say it....even if it gets people mad, right? The Dems are making a huge mistake. They think the Tea Party or Ted Cruz is their opponent. They are wrong. Their opponent is the math....and the math will win in the end. Period!
I wonder if the ABC news dude was treating Ted Cruz poorly because he hates Hispanics? I’m using this line all the time. We’re always accused of that. Why not?
George P is a nice boy, being groomed. That’s as far as it goes for “people in Texas”, that I know of. He is not genetically entitled, yet, but nice, yes.
Why was Cruz talking to this guy?
