Dennis Miller tells small business owners to fire Obama supporters
Conservative Infidel.com ^ | 10/19/2013 | Benjamin Franklin

In this radio program Dennis Miller advises business owners that if they are forced to cut hours and or fire employees due to the impact of Obamacare, then it is the Obama supporters that should be fired.

I couldn’t agree more!

Obama and his supporters have made it painfully clear that they do not care about the millions of lives that are being completely destroyed by Obamacare. So it only makes logical sense that they should be the ones that lose their jobs as a result since they are the ones supporting this disaster.

the employer should merely state that due to Obamacare he was having to reduce his overhead and he was sorry to have to eliminate his position. No need to be vitriolic until after the asshole is gone. On a more personal level.
I’ve pretty much run off any so called friends who are liberal....don’t miss them at all. Tired of their idiotic pap and sh!ty attitude....liberals for the most part are very angry people. My wife was upset at first but realizes now a lot of drama has left our lives. Some were relatives!!None of them have sued me!!

Hah. I have often urged doctors not to treat lawyers. Let them suffer, rot and die. Doctors should kick Demicrats off their patient rolls first. Let them suffer, die and rot.

When I worked with a labor union in CA every time there were budget cuts the union leaders would say that any layoffs should be republican members.

They voted against a business ability to do business, so it would certainly be justified.

Quietly, I think a lot of companies have been doing this for years in both political directions. This is why it is very unwise for employees to put political bumper stickers on their cars and talk politics in the office.

However, in one instance I know of, an employer was able to turn the politics of his employees more conservative, and all at once. Though it began with a tragedy.

Their office was near a bad part of town, and when one of the female employees had worked late, and went to the parking lot, she was mugged and beaten pretty badly. This enraged the owner, who made a new policy that employees, no matter their job, had to be armed with guns at work. (Of course, with no punishment for not being armed.)

This sent a double message that the owner was quite angry, and that he cared about his employees. He was also clear that if they had to defend themselves, the company would back them in court. This made morale quite high among the staff.

It also made them a lot more conservative in their politics.

“..Do what many employers do. Come up with a more acceptable reason. Job performance, elimination of the position, downsizing and so forth....”

That’s exactly what one company I worked for did. They carefully noted who they were, and when the first hard downturn in business hit, they were all let go together in the downsizing on the same day. It also included some that sure didn’t deserve it, but that’s business...or the lack thereof. Of course, a lot of “worshipers” welcomed it because they were then eligible for 99 weeks of unemployment compensation without having to drag their fat, lazy azzes out of bed and go to work. Most of them were also very poor-performing employees anyway so it was not that great of a loss to the overall business. One in particular was extremely vocal and had been a real trouble-maker for quite some time. I personally got to hold the front door open for that one as she loaded up her personal belongings, including her odongo stickers etc. in her car to leave under the watchful eye of a security officer. I must admit: I took sadistic pleasure in that. She snarled at me on her way out: “What are smiling at?” My reply; “Oh, obviously nothing much. I kinda smile like that all the time, especially after a good dump.” She gave me the one finger salute as she got in her car and left....good riddance of bad rubbish. Last I heard she was community-organizing for the local ACORN chapter.

“I know damn well that I’ve lost jobs because of my very public political beliefs.”

I know damn well that a target was placed on me because of my very public display of disgust regarding political correctness, etc. It’s a bad career move, if working in the H.R. Dept. of a government agency, to roll your eyes, groan, or otherwise comment on certain subjects. For instance, calling the SEIU people in the workplace “organized crime” isn’t well accepted.

It’s a good idea in principle. However, from a practical point of view, you must be more strategic. In WI, which is an “at will” employment state, you still have to give a reason for termination when the ex-employee submits their unemployment claim. Reasons having to do with ideology are problematic and could lead to a discrimination claim. Reasons such as poor work performance need to be documented with evidence of periodic reviews and attempts at improving the employee’s performance.
The best approach is to make sure, wherever possible, that each employee has a different job title/ description. That way, claims of seniority are less pertinent. Then, you can simply contend that the employee position is no longer needed, or needs be downsized because of prevailing business conditions, financial stability of business etc.
The 0-supporter is a natural ally of the state workforce development bureaucrat and don’t think that together, they will concoct some type of discrimination claim to take a conservative business owner down.
Getting rid of 0-supporters does really make sense. Typically, they are your poorest performing employees, and they are more likely to engage in sabotage against your business.
But the best piece of advice is not to give them a job in the first place. Although you can’t ask them about their political beliefs on the interview, there are safe indirect questions you can ask. And, there are the other obvious predictors that are better left unsaid.

Some of us said on the first Wednesday of November in 2008 that anyone who voted for the POS in the White House should be fired.

What took Miller so long?

In Kansas the boss can fire you just because he is the boss and you are not. No stated reason is needed.

They are willfully ignorant when it benefits themselves. That in of itself is reason enough.

I do. Maybe not immediately, but eventually they realize they have no hope of raises or promotions, and are getting all the dirty jobs. I can’t help myself.

Hm. This depends. Let’s consider a contrarian view for a moment...

Suppose this is a business with low paid jobs. You *could* fire the Obama-supporting employees. They will just go on the dole and get MORE benefits/purchasing power than if they were working. So, the good people who didn’t support Obamacare work harder to support layabouts who did.

OR...

Let’s the conservatives start taking from the system and let the liberals work hard to pay for conservatives to sit around. Heck - give the liberals a raise to JUST ABOVE 4x the poverty level so they don’t qualify for any Obamacare subsidy so they feel the pain.

Maybe these government largesse types should be *given* the opportunity to support the people who would NORMALLY produce and support...
