The fall of more than one dictator has begun with an overreaction to peaceful protesters. Overreaction by the dictator can provoke others into joining the protest as has already happened with he World War II Memorial. Overreaction can cause some to decide that violence may be needed to topple the tyrant. This hasn't happened yet but could happen in the future if Obama doesn't change his attitude.

Very well said. Obama's heavy handedness is so over the top that I sometimes wonder if he's not trying to provoke violent reactions in order to gain an excuse to crush all political opposition. Obama exhibits the petulance and immaturity of a spoiled child, which is a dangerous thing in a position of power. He is behaving like a nervous dictator.

As outrageous and offensive as Obama's actions regarding the WW2 veterans were, the Obama True Believers support what he did. I know one, and she "stands with the president" (her words).

I do believe that he is trying to provoke violence as an excuse to attack his political enemies. The left has a collective, bloodthirsty imagination; wherever they have been in power, they act out these inclinations and commit mass murder. I don't know if the present regime has the stomach to do this, but I don't want to find out.
