87 Repubs voted Yes, 144 Repubs voted No, 197 Dems voted yes 0 Dems voted no.

The GOP could have easily defeated this.

A large majority of repubs voted against it. Boehner violated the Hastert rule and led a minority of Repubs to side with the Dems to give in on this critical fight.

Since Boehner broke the Hastert rule, then the GOP conservative should rebel in the House against Boehner and vote him out as the Speaker and replace him with a conservative Speaker willing to do battle and take Obama to the mat.

In fact the GOP should take the following line in talking to Obama.

"Look, Barry, we have the votes to stop you cold, and we have decided to use those votes.

"We control government funduing and we are going to exercise that control.

"We are talking about a complete shutdown where not so much as a dime will be available for you to even heat the White House, so get ready to stay at the local Holiday Inn on your own dime for the duration. Also, tell Michelle she can send her 100+ assistants home to, and weed her own garden.

"The only thing we will fund during that time is the US military you hate so much.

"When you are ready to talk about seriously creating a budget...one that is balanced, one that really reduces the debt...and we are talking about a true reduction in the actual amount we owe, not just a reduction in the percentage of your spending increases...and a budget we that puts an end to ObamCare. When you are ready to seriously talk to us about those things...get back with us.

"Oh, BTW, Barry. One other thing we will fund is the following. The House of Reprentatives will meet each day with the express purpose of impeaching your sorry backside each day for the next 60 working days. Impeach you each day on a different charge. 60 impeachments, Barry. When you get ready to talk to us, then the first thing the Senate will have to take up is those 60 impeachments. Think about that while you are waiting, and watching.

"So, we have the votes, and we are firm. Give us a call when you are ready to talk. Bye now."
That's the discussion a real Speaker of the House should be having with Obama.

Uh huh....

Last time Boehnor screwed over his party, the House GOP overwhelmingly voted to re-elect him as speaker. They have no integrity and no guts.

The whole party is corrupt. I wouldn’t even spit on the GOP. Disgusting.

I’ve never been so happy with my decision to quit the GOP.

I agree. But, that’s not happened. Instead we got: “Danke, Mein Fuhrer! Can I have another?”

I have never been more disgusted with the GOP. Even 2012 didn’t suck this much.

Senator Cruz today said that the establishment republicans turned their cannons towards the base of the party. I agree. We will not forget who fired into our camp. Conservatives will not just, ‘go neutral’ and not show up for republicans on election day. We will make sure that every progressive republican is challenged and defeated.

Which Pubbies voted for this and for ObamaCare? Those are the ones to vote out in 2014 and 2016 and have them replaced with real Americans who are real conservatives.

Those 87 Republicans voted to make our children and grandchildren more bankrupt than they have already made them.

They piss on our families, saddling us with more debt. Take them all out of office.

One of the 87 was my congressman, Mike Fitzpatrick. He voted with the Democrats. I won't be voting for him again.
(shrug)
It's just as simple as that.

On the other hand, I will vote for Ted Cruz for president regardless of if there is an 'R' after his name.
Screw party loyalty. The Republicans seem to forget that's a 2-way street. I will vote for conservative candidates, and never again "hold my nose".
