Every American has the right to bear arms: (Including Fully Automatic Firearms)
And all they have to do is apply for a Federal Firearms License.

The NFA has some funky provisions about short barrelled shotguns and rifles that have been problematic, but what needs to be repealed is the ban on newly registered full autos. That ban has driven up the price and caused classics like Thompsons and BARs to be torched.

Whether it is in keeping with the 2nd Amendment or not, the NFA by itself did not ban full autos.

The requirement for a license negates the right and replaces it with “privilege.”

“And all they have to do is apply for a Federal Firearms License.”

Not true. The 1986 “Firearms Owners Protection Act” set a ceiling on the number of fully auto guns that could be owned by citizens.

That limit has driven the prices of the legal guns through the roof. A gun that would cost $700 on the open market now goes for tens of thousands of dollars.
