I visited an Aldi in flyover country on Saturday evening. There was a big sign on the door "EBT is down. EBT cards not accepted until further notice."

That was all it took. There were no riots, and the store was actually full. Of customers using THEIR OWN money.

Are there ANY stores that don’t take EBT any more or is that against the law ,too?
