In the interest of full disclosure, at the time I was observing all this, I was only aware of what was happening in the "Blue Room" with respect to the fact that there were "unknowns' in our sector and that fighters had been scrambled. All that stuff about the missile silos I was totally unaware of and honestly can't confirm any of that stuff. I only know that at the time in question, there were unknown radar returns and it had everyone pretty wound up. I happened to be in the "Blue Room" where all the operators sit and I was doing maintenance on one of the display consoles when all this happened.
I had never talked about the incident until one night, while watching "Unsolved Mysteries" with Robert Stack, I heard him say "Great Falls Montana, November 1975." That got my attention and the story related by Mr Stack was of the incident in question. I guess they had obtained declassified records of the event. It was really weird listening to Robert Stack talking about an incident I was a witness to.
