I do know there is a species of what is commonly called "Bigfoot" out there. I encountered something during a summer season which could run like Jesse Owens thru dense woods in a pitch black night, throw fifty pound rocks horizontal distances of about 100 feet, and tracked our movements and schedule during the day hours. It lasted an entire summer season and a few weeks of the next year's season as well. I watched something sprinting thru the woods, stopped just short of the edge of the clearing where our cabin was, and hurl a beachball size rock / boulder thru the front door of the building. It exploded and the entire jam, door, and splintered wood hit the opposing wall. The throwing was accompanied by a scream.
One of our party was about 6'3" and weighed about 275lbs of solid muscle. He couldn't throw the same boulder more than ten feet with a running start in the clear.

You hung around the entire season (and part of the next) with this creature nearby throwing boulders like baseballs? What sort of weaponry did you have to defend yourself in case IT decided to enter your cabin and tear everyone to pieces?

Great story. What part of the country were you in?

Looks like you may have wandered into something’s territory, eh? :’) The sightings in Michigan have been pretty short and dull, whereas we our share of bear sightings that get the blood pounding.

I hear you both. I have seen two very amazing things in my life, both in the last three years, that make me question what is known about this world.
Mentioning either one of these incidents to people I know has elicited nothing but howls of laughter and ridicule so now I keep quiet and say nothing. Those that have not seen, have no idea what is really out there.

Local USFS ranger spotted one here in Oregon a number of years back. I briefly did a trail survey with the ranger & found he was very knowledgeable about the wilds.
