This failure of an option B has set the stage for Bohners end game, very much like what happened early this year with taxes.
Reid Slams New House GOP Debt Limit Offer (Hissy fit) Roll Call ^ | 10/15/13 | Meredith Shiner
Reid will pass his ‘bipartision’ bill using a procedure that only requires 50 votes but gutting a previously passed bill. That allows lots of GOP Senators cover to vote symbolically ‘no’ with no effect.
Then that Bill goes to house and Bohner puts it up for a vote and passes it with Pelosi Dems and a few Dems like Peter King, this will give lots of GOP house members plenty of cover to vote ‘no’ with no consequence.
That Senate Bill passes in the house as is Obama and signs it. Crisis ended. GOP gets pretty close to nothing. But Congress keeps their Obamacare subsidy and all those government employees who got furloughed get paid for that extra vacation. .
Lastly, no one challenges Bohner as Speaker just like in January. He keeps his job. None of them want it.
I almost forgot, Dems go into their Thanksgiving and Christmas celebrating their great victory over GOP and the Tea Party.
GOP(nor me) , not quite as happy.
Better luck next time ping!
Actually, sounds about right for the Republicans. I expected less and got less so I can’t complain.
I can vote though!

RINOs make me sick.
Obama is holding the funding of the government hostage, no one else. Can RINOs articulate this? No.
Obama demands that a very expensive and very defective program be funded or that nothing be funded. Congress has offered him one year to work out the problems but Obama demands all or nothing and calls it “bending over backwards”.
Obama spends money to erect barriers where none existed - all an effort to make us capitulate to his will. For this alone he should be opposed unyieldingly. Make him capitulate. Shame him.
NEVER CAPITULATE TO THIS DESPOT.
I tired of these symbolic losses long ago.
I really wanted to see Obama and Reid swallow something that they found tasting bad. Just something
But unfortunately I knew from the start it would end just the way it looks like it will: GOP gets nothing.
Dems go into holiday celebrating their new single party rule (they will see it that way anyways)
Hopefully amnesty is dead.
Nop, Obama hasn't signed a bill yet.
Just what I see coming in the next day or so.

> Having hammered out a deal to shoot back to the Senate tonight with most Republicans reportedly on board... Then the medical device tax delay was stripped out, and the full Vitter Amendment (no special treatment under Obamacare for Congress, staffers, and White House officials) was inserted in... opposed to stalling or repealing the tax as part of this deal... The delay would look like another favor to big business rather than the little guy... would take the issue off the table as a Democrat-dividing maneuver for future negotiations...

My bet is the only thing that will happen tomorrow night is an short extension of the debt ceiling, 2 months. Gov still shutdown
Lets start that conversation by acknowledging we arent going to deport 12 million illegal immigrants... bringing these workers out of the shadows and into being taxpaying members of society. Imagine 12 million people who are already here coming out of the shadows to become new taxpayers.12 million more people assimilating into society. 12 million more people being productive contributors. [but hes not in favor of amnesty, snicker, definition of is is]
...by softening its edge on some volatile social issues and altering its image as the party always seemingly "eager to go to war... We do need to expand the party and grow the party and that does mean that we don't always all agree on every issue" ... the party needs to become more welcoming to individuals who disagree with basic Republican doctrine on emotional social issues such as gay marriage... "We're going to have to be a little hands off on some of these issues ... and get people into the party," Paul said.
Dimocrats everywhere hope you are right.
I don’t think you are.
If our guys cave they might as well join the Dims; they will NEVER have leverage against them. Our side NEEDS TO PUT OUT ADS, like billboards with El-Presidente’s face and a quote; “I will not negotiate”. It wouldn’t cost that much and with the electronic billboards could go up within a day.
Good idea.
Wow, You are still sure that Obama will cave and defund Obama-care. Rejoice! Thats great news.
That's not exactly insightful considering I pointed it out that Dems will celebrate the GOP cave over holidays.
