Democrat + Former Obama Supporter Mort Zuckerman Now Sees Only an Ineffective, Contemptuous Loner...
Reaganite Republican ^ | 14 October 2013 | Reaganite Republican

Posted on 10/14/2013 3:53:39 AM PDT by Reaganite Republican

Mortimer Zuckerman is a Canadian-born American real estate/media tycoon and co-founder, chairman and CEO of Boston Properties, one of the largest real estate investment trusts in the United States. He is also owner/publisher of the New York Daily News and of U.S. News & World Report, where he serves as editor-in-chief, used to own The Atlantic, and is worth about two-and-a-half billion bucks.

In addition to all that, he's a regular and entertaining guest on the good ole McLaughlin Report, where I do enjoy Zuckerman's well-supported turn on Obama: seems he's deeply alarmed by where Dear Leader's taking us, particularly regarding fiscal and national security issues- and his arguments come across as sincere, well-thought-out, and credible.

But what the man is saying this week (re. Obama and the debt crisis he and the lap-dog media are attempting to pin on the Republicans) is that it's chiefly the fault of the President himself... he's the one that's supposed to be providing leadership in ending the stalemate instead of digging-in and lobbing churlish insults.

If not effective leadership, you'd think Obama at least would be willing to talk to some people in Congress at a time like this -if only Democrats- but according to Zuckerman, our nation's Narcissist-in-Chief can't even be bothered with that:

"This president has very few personal relationships... not only with the Republicans, but even with the Democrats. And I can tell you that from direct personal knowledge, listening to the leadership of the Democrats in both the House and the Senate.

Reagan -when he was president- every week would have a luncheon with six Democrats- he built up a relationship. Bill Clinton did the same thing.

You don't have this here, so the kind of dialogue that you normally have -that leads to compromise, that leads to negotiation- just isn't there...

That is a key part of how our government works...
and it's not working now."

Alas, BHO tends to keep the legislative process at arm's length while forcing his agenda through behind the scenes, taking cheap shots at conservatives, issuing propaganda via MSM tools, and dispatching pre-programmed evil monkeys Reid, Pelosi, et al to do the dirty work... then he justs kicks-back and waits to take all the credit if any of this crap actually ever works.

Mort Zuckerman is hardly the only one to note this, but it's always more interesting coming from a liberal... here's what some other libs have said about Obama's antisocial demeanor:
Neera Tanden, (aide to B. Clinton and Obama): "Obama doesn't call anyone, and he's not close to almost anyone. It's stunning that he's in politics, because he really doesn't like people."
Journalist John Heilemann: "I don't think he doesn't like people. I know he doesn't like people."
WaPo's Scott Wilson: "Obama is, in short, a political loner who prefers policy over the people who make politics in this country work."
Liberal NYT columnist Roger Cohen: "Nixon, like Obama, was a loner, but he had Kissinger generating ideas..." but, for Obama "there is only one star in the galaxy at this White House and his name is Barack Obama."
Barack Obama himself said in Dreams from My Father that people are an "unnecessary distraction." (h/t American Thinker)

But the hands-free Dem/RINO machine that's rammed Hopenchange through for Obama (to this point) suddenly doesn't work quite the same anymore- seems somebody's thrown a spanner in the works, and our sociopath President has chosen to just sit home and pout about it.

None of his followers seem to realize that they are useful idiots. They are not respected nor valued by this president. He doesn’t form relation ships because of this. It makes it easier to feed them and their families into the wood chipper after his final take over and the traitors to their own country need to be disposed of for fear they may be traitors to his rule when they figure out there is no special place for them and their progeny.

That is what worries me about all the purges in the strategic command. If he gets rid of all the people who wouldn’t launch a strike against... say, Israel... then what’s to stop him?

I don’t know. I have an aquuaintance in Israel, Manfred Gerstenfeld, who has written books on the leftist antisemitism. We’ve spent quite a bit of time discussing the Norwegian Labour.

He *still* is reluctant, I think, to see the Democrats as bad for Israel and the Jews.

These goys are deeply invested in something they thought was the holy grail. Hard to give up.

see my post #25; I am really concerned with the purges in our Strategic Missile Command. I am am concerned with both conventional and nuclear attacks against Israel by this administration.

I never thought the USA would be a threat to Israel until observing this imposter.

Doesn’t matter. He got elected. Zuckerman? Too old to ‘learn.’

No fool like an old fool.

What a miserable, lonely childhood he must have had, raised by his white grandparents and an unavailable, promiscuous, white mother, who preferred radical black men. In seeking her approval, he became a radical black man. As an adult, he must realize the truth, she is dead, therefore his need has turned to rage.

...”When someone becomes President, such people usually come out of the woodwork”...

It is just not this aspect, folks..It is as though he landed from another planet. It is like he had no past before marrying Michelle and becoming President. I find it VERY troubling. It seems that no one attending Columbia, in his major, when he was supposed to be there, ever saw him. No one remembers him. If we had a press in this nation, these things would be cleared up.

Many Jews are blinded as a result of contracting and growing up with the debilitating disease of ‘Liberalism’.

I have spent years trying to show my fellow Jew how bad the POTUS would be for America, the Middle East and the world. Unfortunately we are witnessing the meltdown now.
I blame both Jew and Gentile for letting this Trojan Horse into the fort, not just this group or that. Obama’s true inclinations towards Israel and Islam were demonstrated openly during the first 2 years in his 1st term. He was adamantly opposed to everything Israel did or said. Now he's pretending to be a friend, hence blanket statement lies like:

Israel, I've got your back
We will not allow a Nuclear Iran
All options are on the table
I mean it!

We live in dangerous times.

It should matter to the Democrat politicians. They are all slaves to Valerie Jarrett. Does that matter?

“Purges”? Is this Stalin's CCCP circa 1937? Obama would not launch a strike on Israel unless for some bizarre reason, Israel was about to launch ICBMs at Obama’s golf courses...

Obama is indeed capable of halting some kind of military airlift to Israel in a war with Iran, Hizbollah or HAMAS - that he can do. Nixon saved Israel 40 years ago during the Yom Kippur war and he was no real friend of Israel but he was nowhere near the hatred that BHO has for that tiny and reliable USA ally, country.

He bought Larry Sinclair a free 8 ball of cocaine! Does that count as an act of kindness?

“I know the type of dude Obama is. Hie”s basically a mid level manager type with a race chip on his shoulder who thinks he’s better than everybody else. Unfriendly, no sense of humor or self deprecating capacity - just a garden variety friendless asshole.”

That’s a perfect description of mid-level managers in Beijing too. They can be nice, but the moment you give them power and a promotion they turn into Obamanoids. It really is a psychosis since they are devoid of a conscience, paranoid, treacherous, vain, arrogant and never forgive a slight made against them.

It’s especially humorous when they denounce liars when they lie every time they talk. It’s as if they are conducting their own self-criticisms, but wait a minute that’s impossible they believee they never do anything wrong.

I enjoy figuring people out on a psycholigical level. He does seem to have numerous narcissist traits, but try to read up on Borderline Personality Trait too. It’s more prevelant with females and homosexual males.

“These “loner” types can be very dangerous people. Think about all the mayhem caused by loners.”

That’s a bit of a stereotype. I tend to be a loner myself who often prefers reading a book than engaging in meaningless small talk or going to a party. However, if you want to be President of the United States, being a loner can be problematic.

I see Mort on McLaughlin Group when I watch. I am still wondering when, exactly, he is going to put all the prices together. He still thinks a deal is coming and the Republicans are "gonna get something". For such a smart guy, he aint too bright. I think many from his generation can't come to grips with the idea that the country is pretty near finished. The old rules do not apply anymore.

Obama aint a loner. He has his handlers and his blackberry. The rest is window dressing for you and I. A facade, sort of like a North Korean department store.
