Some historians are either woefully ignorant about our Republic or intentionally deceitful. You're reading false claims that the House of Representatives "shutdown the government" . . .

Without a divided government, we get things like Obamacare. Retroactive tax increases. The Patriot Act. And on and on and on and on.
One party rule is an open invitation to corruption. From Washington down to the village counsel.
God save us from one party rule.

You're reading false claims that the House of Representatives "shutdown the government." That's a lie - either out of ignorance or intentional deceit.FACT: The shutdown was ordered by Sylvia Burwell who is the Chief of the Office of Management and Budget, in the Executive Branch of the government. The Congress did not order the shutdown.
