I had a small part in a school play in my junior year (1976.) I had to replace the word “Damn” from the script with the word “Drat.”

Now if a student or parent would even suggest they instead do a play based on traditional values they would get ostracized by radical leftist school administrators. What will the liberals do next, kick students out of school for believing in traditional values, or is that already taking place? I weep for America.

Back around 1980 we did “Bye Bye Birdie” in my Jr High. We changed Rosie’s “To Hell with you!” to “We’re Through!”

In 1963, MY junior year, if a teacher overheard someone use the word, “Hell’” it had better have been while discussing religion, salvation, and damnation; otherwise they were going to catch a small piece of it from the vice principal. We weren’t saints, but we were civil in our sinning.
